4,5 Earthquake Hits Epirus Coastline

seismos epirusAn earthquake struck the coastline of Epirus on the morning of August 9. The seismic tremor was of 4,5 magnitude on the Richter scale. According to the European Seismological Center, the tremor’s epicenter is located in Parga and Perdika in Thesprotia, Greece.
More specifically, the epicenter is 5 km north of Parga, just 8 km southwest of Perdika in Thesprotia and 22 km southeast of Igoumenitsa.
The earthquake’s focal depth was estimated at 5 km and was felt in many regions of Epirus.
