Samaras Holds Series of Meetings in the USA

samaras_aerodromio_508_355Prime Minister of Greece, Antonis Samaras, is departing late in the evening of August 5 to the US, where he is to meet with the President of the United States, Barack Obama, and other officials.
While in the US, Samaras will have a very busy program. According to official information he will have contacts with the journalist crew of Washington Post and New York Times.
On August 7, Samaras will go on a one-day trip to New York City to hold meetings with the chiefs of big Greek-American investment groups.
On August 8, at 22:00 (local time Greece) the meeting between the Greek Prime Minister and the American President will take place in the White House, and shortly after the meeting, Samaras will travel to NYC again.
On August 9 Samaras will have successive meetings with the mayor of New York, Michael Bloomberg, the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Ban Ki-moon, as well as with representatives of the Greek Diaspora and the Executive Director of the American Jewish Committee (AJC) David Harris.
In addition, he will visit Ground Zero, the spot where the Twin Towers fell and will see the works for the construction of the Church of Saint Nikolaos.
