Exarchopoulos in Athens For Life of Adele

Adèle_Exarchopoulos_Cannes_2013_2Adèle Exarchopoulos, one of the stars of Life of Adele – Blue, the film that won the Cannes Film Festival this year, a movie produced, and directed by Abdellatif Kechiche, will attend its premiere in Athens at the closing of the closing ceremony of the 19th International Film Festival.
The film shocked some critics with its long and graphic lesbian sex scenes, leading them to state that the film may require some editing before it is screened in cinemas. Several critics had placed the film as the frontrunner to win the Palme d’Or.
In the film, Adèle, played by Exarchopoulos is a 15-year-old girl who aspires to become a teacher, but her life is turned upside down when she meets Emma, a blue-haired art student at a nearby college, who instigates a romance.
Despite her Greek origin, Exarchopoulos has a distant relationship with Greece and this will be her first visit. The film will be screened at the festival on Oct. 31.
