Greek Police Can't Guard King's House

konstantinos-teos_In a letter sent by the nationwide federation of police officers (POASY) to both the Chief of the Hellenic Police and the Minister for Citizen Protection. The Argolida Police Officer Union has complained over its inability to guard the former King Konstantinos house, in Argolida, on a 24-hour basis.
The letter attached as well a statement issued in late May, which the newspaper To Vima said stated that the police can’t keep doing the task of watching an empty house 24 hours a day because of a lack of staff.
They have suggested that the Police’s VIP protection service or the State Security should instead take over these duties. The Argolida police said they don’t want to take officers away from crime deterrence and protecting society to watch an empty building.
