Free Concert Outside Athens Concert Hall

music hallMusic celebrates this year in the garden of Athens Concert Hall. On June 21, the European Day of Music and the first day of summer at 8 pm, the garden will open its doors to the public. Everyone is invited to this great feast where the entrance is free.
The program is colorful and versatile – fitting with the venue and the time of the presentation – including small concerts separated in two different scenes with the Camerata, jazz masterpieces from the KOA, traditional melodies in a new version (signed by the Swiss Helvetic Fiddlers and Melos Brass).
The program includes Camerata Orchestra of Friends of Music and the conductor George Petrou, the Athens State Orchestra which will perform classical and popular symphonic works with jazz elements (of Gershwin, Bernstein and Milhaud).
A unique proposal for the celebration of Music comes from the popular band Melos Brass (will be on stage at 8:30 p.m.) for a half-hour program with works by K. McKee (Vuelta del Fuego), S. Kompanek (Killer Tango), L. Vernstein (West Side Story / Maria & America), K. Weil (Youkali / Tango Habanera), En.Crespo (Vals Peruano), A. Piazzola (Liber Tango), J. Cezar (Brazil).
The State Orchestra – under the direction of the rising Dutch maestro Bash Vigkers – from 9-9:45 p.m.m undertakes to give jazz color to the night.
At the peak of the event (at 10:15 p.m., one of the most gifted girls in domestic jazz and soul music scene, known for her explosive stage presence in live performances will perform on the stage, Indra Cane. The acclaimed musician will perform her own songs and covers of famous songs by Massive Attack, Stevie Wonder, Jamiroquai, Imany,  Rihanna, Cure, Sade, Hooverphonic, Amy Winehouse, Alicia Keys, accompanied by the distinct band Livitsanos Alexandros (keyboards), Stavros Chilas and Fotis Delinikolas (guitar ), Dimitris Bosinakos (drums) and Kostis Vichos (bass).
