According to an assessment of the Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Centre, the earthquake had a 6 Richter magnitude scale with its epicenter at sea, 85 km southeast of Tympakio, 143 km southwest of Ierapetra, and its focal depth was 10 km.
Within the first few minutes after the earthquake, the electronic devices and the Internet connection didn’t function well, while no injuries or damages were reported.
