Greek Islands Among Top Vogue Destinations

vogue_556_355Three Greek islands, Serifos, Folegandros and Thirassia, all in the Cyclades, have been placed among the top island destinations on Italian fashion magazine Vogue’s list.

The three islands have been suggested by Vogue as ideal holiday destinations.

Serifos is located in the western Cyclades, south of Kythnos and northwest of Sifnos. It is part of the Milos regional unit. With its unique beauty, it enchants visitors at first sight and is an ideal destination for a pleasant get-away by the sea and under the sun.

Folegandros is one of the many undiscovered islands in Greece located in the southern Cyclades of the Aegean Sea. Its nature can offer visitors tranquility and solitude.

Thirassia is a stone’s throw from the lighthouse of Ammoudi, Oia in the west of the island of Santorini. It is so close, but very different from the cosmopolitan neighboring island, maintaining its authenticity. Quiet and undeveloped, it is almost untouched by tourism.

The islands of Sardinia, Stromboli and Ponza in Italy, Samana in the Dominican Republic, the Lofoten Islands in Norway, Kangaroo Island in South Australia, Lanzarote in Spain, Campomoro and Porto-Vecchio of Corsica, Salina and Vulcano of the Aeolian Islands in Italy and lots of islands in Polynesia, complete the Vogue list.
