Treasures From Greek Museums In Plovdiv

Regional_Archaeological_Museum_entrance,_Plovdiv,_Bulgaria_1The periodic exhibitionLeaving a Mark on History. Treasures from Greek Museums, with 195 unique works of antiquity, will be inaugurated on May 30 in the Regional Archeological Museum in Plovdiv of Bulgaria.

The exhibition is co-organized by the Numismatic Museum and the National Archaeological Museum. It will run until Oct. 30 and then will be transferred to the Archeological Museum in Sofia, where it will be hosted until Feb. 15, 2014.

The exhibition will take place with the collaboration of the Greek Embassy in Sofia and the Consulate General of Greece in Plovdiv.

The aim of the exhibition is to present rare and unique objects that leave their mark on history, either as portraits of the history’s protagonists, or as direct historical source of major historic and political facts, or as universal social, religious and cultural concepts and values.
