The Hellenic Police is shocked by a tragic incident. A policeman of the National Intelligence Service (NIS) of Greece committed suicide in the toilets of Athens International Airport Eleftherios Venizelos, on May 27.
As reported, the 34-year-old policeman had gone to the airport along with two other policemen, in order to deliver some detainees. A little before 2 pm he informed his colleagues that he was going to the toilet. He never came back.
One of that airport’s cleaning ladies discovered the policeman’s dead body when she entered the toilets. The policeman, who was married, allegedly shot himself with his service pistol.
