A Melbourne Greek-Australian has brought suit against QatarAirways, claiming a great, “but unspecified amount” and claiming he suffered physical and psychological trauma when a flight attendant struck him with a trolley on a flight from Doha to Melbourne back in August 2011.
John Karatzaferis said that has been suffering from “pain, tenderness and limitation of movement” in his left knee, with the accident allegedly aggravating an existing arthrosis that now requires an operation, the Sydney Morning Herald reported.
Karatzaferis argued that the accident has caused him “despite of chronic pain and dysfunction, psychological problems that lead to anxiety and depression as well,” according to a writ filed in the Supreme Court of Victoria.
Melbourne Injury Lawyers, on behalf of Karatzaferis, are claiming unspecified damages. The legal firm and Qatar Airways did not respond to a request for comment.
