Despina Olympiou performed, An me thimasai (If you remember me) and ranked fourteenth in the first semifinal. The song did not enter the top ten and was among the six excluded from the semifinal of  May 14. The Cypriot singer was wearing a very sexy Laskaris dress.
The 1st semifinal started with the interpretation of the song Euphoria, which won first place in 2012, and sent this year’s event to Sweden.
Along with Cyprus, the countries left outside the final were Serbia, Austria, Slovenia, Croatia and Montenegro.
The ten countries that took the ticket to the final, are Belarus, Ukraine, Ireland, Estonia, Lithuania, Belgium, Holland, Moldova, Denmark and Russia.
The 2nd semifinal is to be held on May 16, when Greece is participating with Koza Mostra and Agathon, and their song, Alcohol Is Free. If they make it to the grand final, Greece will be competing against the United Kingdom, Italy, France, Germany, Spain, and last year’s winner, Sweden.
