Week of Greek Arts Scene in Geneva

f73cf33f1dc1ea35802e9026a1fe55a8A Greek week under the title, Glances at the Contemporary Greek Arts Scene, will be hosted in Saint-Gervais Theater in Geneva, Switzerland from April 29 to May 2, with the support of the Athens International Film Festival. Films, performances and street art from the last three years will be included.

During the event, eight Greek films will be screened; the theatrical performance Hail Bride by Lena Kitsopoulou will be presented, while street art works will cover all of the theater’s walls, giving a taste of Athens’ walls.

The films screened are: Plato’s Academy by Filippos Tsitos, Dad, Lenin and Freddy by Rinio Dragasaki, two short films Casus Belli by Yorgos Zois, and Chamomile by Neritan Zinxhiria, 45 degrees by Georgis Grigorakis, Beatitudes by Aristotelis Maragkos, Demokratia, the Way of the Cross by Markos Gastin, and Wasted Youth by Argyris Papadimitropoulos and Jan Vogel.

During the tribute and on a daily basis, the theatrical performance Hail Bride of Grigoris Xenopoulos will be presented. The performance, staged at Karolos Koun Theater of Athens last year, is a remake and directed by Lena Kitsopoulou. Maria Protopappa, Yiannos Perlegkas, John Kotsifas, Joanna Mavrea, Alexander Tsotsis, Dani Giannakopoulos, Yiannis Kapeleris and Lena Kitsopoulou constitute the cast.

Concerning local street art, the works of Cacao Rocks, Sox, Zamie Omga, Stmts Stmts, Don Fortys, Nteko Rataratats, Dimitris Ntokos, Wild Drawing, will be exhibited.
