Young Greeks Losing Hope Fast

Greece_nei In answer to the question “In general, do you think things in Greece are heading to the right or the wrong direction?” 87 percent replied “to the wrong direction” and only 5 percent said “to the right”, while 3 percent chose not to answer the question.
This is part of a survey conducted across the country by V-PRC for Ellinogermaniki Agogi private school addressed to young people.
Sixty percent of the people questioned is thinking on whether to continue studying at a Greek university or technical institute or at something equivalent abroad, while seven in ten claim that they are not interested in politics.
About Europe’s future, young people appear to be modestly optimistic, as 74 percent considers it impossible that the EU won’t exist in five years from now, compared to 18 percent who thinks it will.
Unemployment for 29.6 percent questioned is the most serious problem young people in Greece have to face, compared to 24.5 percent who answered it is the educational system and 13.9 percent the economic crisis.
When the question “How do you feel about the way Democracy works in Greece?” was posed, 84 percent answered “disappointed” while 28 percent said “not at all satisfied.” Only 14 percent feel satisfied, while 2 percent chose not to answer.
