Greek Passengers in Alexandria Bus Crash

A bus with 19 passengers, 16 of whom Greeks from the Diaspora in Alexandria, were involved in a bus accident on the morning of March 31 at the 55th kilometer of the Alexandria – Cairo route, on the way to the Egyptian capital.

According to a statement issued by the Greek Foreign Ministry, following a briefing by the Greek Embassy in Cairo, 12 of the passengers were wounded and were transferred directly to Sheikh Zayed hospital of Cairo.

The Greek Ambassador in Cairo along with representatives from the Embassy and the Consulate General of the city went to the scene of the accident and transferred in an Embassy’s vehicle  the other seven passengers to the hospital for preventive tests.

According to the doctors, the injured are not in critical condition, but are being monitored.
