Greek Director Terzopoulos’ Italian Tour

TerzopoulosA Drama Workshop, under Greek director Theodoros Terzopoulos, based on the analysis and teaching of Aeschylus’ Prometheus Bound, has been organized to run from April 12-24 in Rome, in collaboration with the Italian National Academy of the Silvio D’Amico Theater.

The sessions will include instruction from Terzopoulos, his assistant Savvas Stroumbos, who is both a director and actor, as well as the Italian actor Paolo Muzio, whowill also give drama classes.

The result of this teamwork, will be presented by the students of the Italian theater academy, at the Eleonora Duse theatre in the Castle of Queen Cornaro. Terzopoulos’s business contacts with Italy began 22 years ago, with the direction of Antigone at the Teatro Olimpico in Vicenza.

He later presented his works in many Italian cities, from Milan to Cagliari in Sardinia. After his co-operation with Silvio D’Amico Academy, he will collaborate with the Emilia-Romagna Theater in northern Italy and a tribute to the Russian poet Marina Tsvetaeva, in Genoa.
