Djebbour Examined for Tax Evasion

rafikRafik Zoheir Djebbour, the Algerian international footballer of Olympiakos is being investigated for possible tax evasion,  according to web capital.gr of NET and MEGA.
The footballer, first scorer in the Super League, was targeted by economic prosecutors just a few days after his three-year contract renewal with Olympiakos.
The triggering event for the examination was a suspicious wire-transfer of 1 million euros found in his bank accounts in Greece. According to information, the transfer seems to be from a betting company abroad, destined for the 28-year-old football player. The money is said to have been deposited in 2011.
Financial prosecutors Grigoris Peponis and Spyros Mouzakitis have already demanded the examination of Djebbour’s deposit for possible unlawful activity. According to sources, Djebbour has not submitted a tax return since 2007 although he had to since he has an income in Greece.
