Alitalia, British Air Return to Thessaloniki

turkish_airMacedonia International Airport of Thessaloniki will increase its number of international flights with the return of Alitalia flights to Rome and British Air flights to London, after the airlines suspended service in the autumn of 2012.
Alitalia which used to connect Thessaloniki with Rome for 14 years, is going to return to Thessaloniki on March 30 with daily flights until the end of October.
British Airways is linking Thessaloniki with Gatwick from March 31. The flights will be available on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays. The airline had stopped its service last November.
More routes to Istanbul are reportedly going to be added as well, with Turkish Airlines is expected to boost daily flights with another four or five connections. Macedonia International Airport is also expected to boost its flights to countries of the Former Soviet Union (Russia, Ukraine).
