A new type of university is going to operate in Preveza and Kanalaki. This university which is open to everyone is a new institution which started about α month ago with the participation of many students. In the Citizen’s Academy, Akadimia Politon, all citizens of the region over 18 will have the opportunity to participate regardless of education level, age, gender, nationality, religion or other demographic characteristics.
The total program of the university lasts four years (2012-2016). The winter semester of the first year started with the thematic unit Psychology, followed by the thematic unit Counseling for the summer semester.
The lectures take place in the municipality’s Art Theofanio in Preveza, three-hours a week, every Thursday from 5 to 8 in the evening and every Friday during the same hours in the multipurpose hall at the High School of Kanalaki. On Jan. 10, one extra lecture is going to be held in Preveza . Professional development consultant, Panayiotis Athanasopoulos, will be the rapporteur of the lecture under the title Me and my career. Emotional Management in financial crisis periods. Athanasopoulos will repeat the lecture on the same subject in Kanalaki the next day.
