Earthquake Shakes Greek Islands in Aegean Sea

earthquake_LimnosA strong earthquake, has struck central and eastern Greece, with its epicenter located south of the island of Limnos in the Aegean Sea.
The Athens Geodynamic Institute put the magnitude at 5.9 and said the quake occurred between the Greek islands of Lemnos and Lesvos, near the Turkish coast.
The tremor hit 16 minutes after 4 p.m. and was felt as far as Athens, 247 kilometers away.
The earthquake was felt also in Istanbul and neighbouring regions, but there was no immediate report of any damage.
