Nia Vardalos has booked a guest spot on “Law & Order: SVU.”
The Greek Canadian-American actress will be in an upcoming episode of the television drama playing Counselor Minonna Efron, who is representing a client on trial for assault and murder. D.A. Barba, played by Raul Esparza, assumes the case will be an easy win because he sees Efron’s disorganized manner as a sign of weakness. His case, however, begins to fall apart when she thwarts his efforts repeatedly.
It was also recently announced that Vardalos is working on the film “Leftovers” for Paramount Pictures.
Tune in January 30 when Vardalos’ episode of “Law & Order: SVU” airs on NBC at 9/8c.
