Javier Bardem Speaks Greek for Fundraising Campaign

Screen Shot 2012-12-20 at 9.03.46 AMJavier Bardem is known for his sultry Spanish accent, rugged good looks and talent. Playing the villain in “Skyfall” recently earned him a Screen Actors Guild nomination, but it’s his role in a new commercial for the Doctors Without Borders campaign that proves he’s really the good guy.

Speaking Spanish and Greek in the ad, Bardem calls on Greeks to help create solidarity for those less fortunate who are without healthcare. By purchasing a box of thyme and honey candy from a Greek pharmacy, “Pastilles for the pain of the other” contributes to the efforts of the campaign by raising awareness for people lacking healthcare in Greece and all over the world.

A portion of each box sold (1,60 euro) will go directly to Doctors Without Borders.
