Greek Student, Dairy Official, Kill Themselves

The surge in suicides plaguing Greece during its crushing economic crisis has takenĀ  two more victims, a 17-year-old high school who hung himself and an official at the Dodoni dairy company who drank pesticide, officials said.
The student’s suicide in Mouzaki, shocked the community of Karditsa. Authorities said he was found hangin by relatives, who called an ambulance and police, but it was too late to save him. No further details were given and police said they were trying to find a motive.
The other case recorded was that of the production manager of one of Greeceā€™s biggest dairy producers, Dodoni, who was been found dead at his home in Ioannina, northeastern Greece. Police said the 51-year-old, identified only by his initials A. S., left a note saying he was taking his life because of personal problems. Officials said there was no indication it had anything to do with his work.
