SBS Radio Schedules Greek Shows

A Greek language broadcasting program from SBS Radio is set to begin airing in April of 2013 on the analogue dial. It’s the first change in the schedule for SBS since 1994, and the new program shows how the country’s demographics have changed.

SBS will continue producing content in all languages on the current radio schedule and will introduce six new language programs. The total number of language programs on the new SBS Radio Schedule will increase from 68 to 74 and SBS will continue to be the most multi-lingual radio broadcaster in the world.

The Greek program now runs two times a day and in April will be transmitted only in the afternoon for two hours, 4-6 pm.

The Special Broadcasting Service (SBS) is a hybrid-funded Australian public broadcasting radio and television network. The stated purpose of SBS is “to provide multilingual and multicultural radio and television services that inform, educate and entertain all Australians and, in doing so, reflect Australia’s multi-cultural society” SBS is one of five main free-to-air networks in Australia.
