Cairo’s 35th Film Fest Shows Greek Entries

The 35th Cairo International Film Festival 2012 will bring a diverse screening program from around the world, after a one year break because of political problems, and this year’s event features some notable Greek movies.

The festival takes places from Nov. 27-Dec. 6. Greek films participating are Three Days of Happiness (Tris Meres Eftihias) by one of the most productive young film directors in Greece and one of the more established, Dimitri Athanitis, and Attractive Illusion by Peter Sevastikoglou. In the same category is Unknown Land, a movie directed by Manuel de Coco.

Other Greek films to be screened in the Fest, is The City of Children (I Poli ton Paidion) by Giorgos Gikapeppas, Hannibal Ante Portas (O Anivas pro ton Pilon) by Elissavet Chronopoulou and Unfair World by Filipos Tsitos.

Adrianos Georgantas will also join the competition with his film Angels of Egypt.
