Greek Research, Aging Conference Set For Adelaide

The 10th International Conference on Greek Research and the 2nd International Conference on Ageing in a Foreign Land will be held from June 27-30 at Flinders University in Adelaide, South Australia. The conference is hosted by LOGOS Australian Centre for Hellenic Language and Culture and the Department of LanguageĀ Studies and supported by The Foundation for Hellenic Studies.

The conference is a four-day event where research papers will be presented on studies related to Greek and Cypriot themes. The aging conference will address the needs of the migrant Diaspora with regard to aging and health, service provision, language and cultural identity issues of Greek and other culturally and linguistically diverse communities in Australia and overseas.

The conference will include the following areas of research: literature and philosophy; Cyprus from 1960-2013: 53 years later; education; generational perspectives on aging; learning languages online; history and migration; professional development for teachers in modern Greek; and society and culture.
