OneRepublic Band Member Says Greece Was Favorite Travel Destination

In a recent interview, lead guitarist Zach Filkins of the successful band OneRepublic said Greece has “definitely been [the] favorite” of all the traveling they’ve done while currently working on their third album, “Native.”

Filkins also mentioned that the band was recording in a studio on the island of Santorini, which became both a vacation and inspiration for them. Renting four-wheelers that are typically used to get around the island, band members “explored” different parts of Santorini when not in the studio. Having also made stops in both the U.S. and U.K. as part of their travels, Filkins went on to say:

We hadn’t had time for the five of us to just really bond and spend time together in a while, and Santorini is just incredibly laid back — there’s just not a lot of rules. In the U.S., which is awesome, they’re sort of like, “Okay, welcome to paradise! But you can’t do this, this or this.”

OneRepublic, an American band whose most recognizable songs include “Apologize,” “Good Life,” and “Stop and Stare,” are currently promoting their single “Feel Again” off the upcoming album “Native.”
