London Greek Film Festival Offers Odyssey

The fifth annual London Greek Film Festival opens its curtains to the audience from Oct. 8-18, presenting more than 45 productions including fiction, documentaries, short films, experimental films and video art.

The screenings will be held at the Westbourne Studios (242 Acklam Road, London W10 5JJ) close to Portobello in West London. Selected short and feature scripts will also be presented. As noted in its official webpage, the Festival is dedicated to Modern Greek filmmakers and moving image artists from all over the world, but also to international filmmakers whose work is related to Greece.

The London Greek Film Festival represents the Greek culture and Greek filmography in the British metropolis with its film screenings and other activities.The festival will be inaugurated with a photo exhibition entitled Olympic Flame: the Flame of Peace in collaboration with the ERT Museum and will come to an end with the Odysseus Awards ceremony that will present the best films of each category with their prizes.

During the festival visitors can also attend an open workshop entitled Greek Film Network: An Opportunity for Film Business Networking from the London Greek Film Festival.
