Greeks at Lower Health Risk to Be Granted Visas

People who intend to migrate to Australia and be granted a permanent visa, will need a medical examination, according to the Department of Immigration’s website. Greece has been placed in the low health risk category.

For a temporary visa, Greeks do not require a health examination, reported Neos Kosmos, unless there are special circumstances, such as pregnancy and expected birth in Australia, job prospects as a doctor, dentist, nurse, paramedic or a trainee at a childcare center, or those over 75 applying for a visitors’ visa.

Applicants for a permanent visa will need a chest X-ray, an HIV test for those over 15 and a Hepatitis B test for the pregnant.
