U.S. Pancretan Association Donates $300,000 to Cretan Hospitals

The Pancretan Association of America has announced that it is going to donate $300,000 worth of supplies to hospitals and clinics on Crete. The material will soon be sent via containers and delivered to every hospital.

Officials of Crete’s health sector informed hospital directors that they will soon receive the hygienic material donated by generous Greek-Americans. The Holy Archdiocese of Crete as well as the Prefect of Crete played a major role in arranging delivery.

The association has made several efforts to promote Crete abroad. Over the years, its members have raised a great deal of money thanks to their charity work and have offered it to Cretan institutions and organizations. Among their significant works are construction of the Venizelion Hospital of Crete, medical equipment provided to hospitals in Chania, Rethymno, Ierapetra, Sitia and Agios Nikolaos, and many more.
