Famous Turkish Bagel To Be Sold in Greece Soon

Representatives of the Turkish Simit Sarayi stores announced their intention to introduce one of their most successful products into the Greek market soon.
The Turkish officials of the Simit Sarayi firm, which means Bagel Palace in the English language, stated that they will soon organize an inauguration ceremony for their first Greece-based store in downtown Athens in Syntagma Square.
Simit Sarayi has over 200 stores all over Turkey and several other branches in European cities.
“By the end of the year, we will have opened our new store in Syntagma,” told director Evren Akdeniz to Turkish Greek News website. Mr Akdeniz, who is currently in Athens, added that they intend to establish more stores in Omonia Square, Monastiraki, Piraeus as well as in Thessaloniki.
In response to the question why they want to establish many new stores in Greece during a period that the country is facing many financial problems and hundreds businesses are closing down, Mr Akdeniz replied that “we are used to tough times; Greek people are not. We planned to open new stores in Greece before the crisis but we still believe the country is going to overcome problems.”
Within the next two years, the Turkish company will make efforts to establish 500 stores all over Europe. As a result, almost 100,000 jobs will be offered till 2019.
