Nicolas Lotsos Awarded Photographer of the Year by the International Spider Awards 2012

The International Black & White Spider Awards, celebrating their seventh year, honored on June 9th amateur and professional photographers all over the world who take black and white pictures. A Greek photographer named Nicolas Lotsos was among the 2012 nominees and managed to be awarded Photographer of the Year for a picture of his shot in Africa.
Lotsos’ impressive photograph was entitled “The Hunt.” It is a black and white image showing wild animals of the African continent attacking some vultures while they are devouring a dead buffalo. This amazing scene was captured by Lotsos’ camera in Kenya, eastern Africa.
Nicolas Lotsos leads a double career as a basketball agent and a fine art photographer. He has represented some of Europe’s top basketball players such as Mike Batiste. Lotsos has been a photographer since he was 16 years old and usually takes pictures of wild life and nature.
“Nature’s majesty calls you to keep it inside your soul but also capture it with your camera to share it later with the others,” told N. Lotsos to tovima.gr.
He commented that through his images, he expresses the fear that this fabulous wild life may be lost in the future. “I’m nervous about the possibility that next generations may see wild nature only as part of old photographs displayed at the museums, not as part of their actual life,” he said.
Nicolas Lotsos has been a recipient of multiple international awards, most notably for his images of Africa. For more information on his career, visit the following link: http://www.nicolaslotsos.com/
