Greece’s new finance minister Yiannis Stournaras was sworn in today morning (July 5th) in a ceremony with Greek President Karolos Papoulias and Greek Prime Minister Antonis Samaras.
Two more politicians were selected for the Greek cabinet positions and were also sworn in. Simos Kedikoglou was appointed as government spokesman while Constantinos Tsiaras was named Foreign Under Secretary.
Samaras along with Stournaras, Kedikoglou and Tsiaras did not make any statements as they exited from the Presidential Mansion.
Mr Stournaras, the newly appointed finance minister, had his first meeting with the troika inspectors, Matthias Mors, Klaus Masuch and Paul Thomsen. In attendance were also deputy finance minister Christos Staikouras and finance undersecretary George Mavraganis.
