New horror-propaganda scenarios on the so-called “Grexit” appear in the German press. The most inappropriate of those was published today by the well-known Austrian newspaper Der Standard.
The heated article refers to supposing preparations of the European leaderships regarding a possible Greek exit of the common currency and to border closings after the expected chaos in Greece following the June 17 elections.
Der Standard, the biggest newspaper in Austria, circulated with the following headline: “Greek Crisis: EU Prepares to Close the Borders.” Invoking Brussels sources, the article reports the formation of an EU plan that will close the borders around Greece and suspend the free mobility of Greek nationals within Europe in case of Greece’s Euro exit.
According to the newspaper, most European governments fear a massive capital outflow and most importantly, a migration flux of Greeks in Europe, and have already built contingency plans.
The German Financial Times is also ringing the bell on a possible euro exit of our country, apparently in an effort to terrorize Greek voters and affect the upcoming elections outcome.
