Turkish Minister of European Affairs: 'Greece Should Start Focusing on Its Economic Crisis'

”I hope that Greece will stop dealing with the name of ‘Macedonia,’…and start focusing to its economic crisis,” the Turkish Minister of European Affairs, Egemen Bagis, commented regarding the recent decision for a new election on June 17 after his meeting with the FYROM Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nikola Poposki, to Angara.
He added that only then Greece will have the support of the two countries because the development of the country is beneficial for both Turkey and ”Macedonia.” Bagis claimed that the result of the elections on May 6 caused great difficulty to the formation of a stable government and that ”they should respect the decision of the Greek people in the next elections.”
From his side, Poposki, said that they should respect the election result and added that it is nessary for all the countries in the region to have the same interests.
Meanwhile, during the Summit of the European Ministers of Economy, the Turkish Minister, Ali Babatzan, declared ”The cost of saving Greece is smaller than the cost of its collapse.”
