Greek Film Made in Thessaloniki Heads to Cannes

Thessaloniki makes Greeks proud with its performance in the world of arts once again. The 10-minute film “Nobody’s Perfetc” was chosen to participate in the Cannes Film Festival in the Short Film Corner-Cannes court Metrage section. “Nobody’s Perfetc” sets an artistic work which reflects the common efforts of a group of young people from Thesssaloniki.
The film is set in Greece’s capital city during the 1960’s. A series of murders shock the Athenian aristocracy. Helena, a young ambitious journalist is found in the center of a story where the glamour of the cosmic lifestyle meets with the shadows of power resulting in unpredictable situations.
The short-length film was the fruit of the artistic collaboration between a group of young cinematographers in Thessaloniki. “Nobody’s Perfetc” was also funded by significant private and state departments, such as the Deputy Mayor’s Office for Culture in the Municipality of Thessaloniki. The Deputy Mayor offered the cinematographers Murdoch Villa for location shooting of the film.
