Olympic Flame Lighting Ceremony 2012 To Be Broadcast Over the Internet

For the first time in Olympic Games history, the Olympic Flame Lighting Ceremony will be broadcast live via the Internet. Until now, international state broadcasting companies showed the event.
The ceremony, which defines the opening of the Olympic Games, will be held on May 10 and everyone will have the opportunity to watch via a direct broadcast signal by Ustream satellite.
The Hellenic Olympic Committee, in collaboration with the International Olympic Committee, are responsible for this initiative. The online broadcasting of the event will start at 10am (Greece time). The commentary will be in English and the production is being handled by Greek company Sport Web Tv.
