New ELSTAT Data Shows Decline in Greek Exports to European Countries

Exports of Greek products in countries of the EU have declined significantly (except for oil products that have not yet been calculated, while exports in other foreign countries present satisfactory rates and are in some cases increasing.

The Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT) published the following data:

The total value of imports-arrivals, excluding oil products, in February 2012 amounted to 2349,2 million euros against 2721,3 million euros in February 2011, recording a drop of 13.7%.

The total value of imports-arrivals, excluding oil products, for the 12-month time period of March 2011 – February 2012 decreased by 13.3% compared to the corresponding 12-month time period of March 2010 – February 2011.

The total value of exports-dispatches, excluding oil products, in February 2012 amounted to 1251,1 million euros against 1233,7 million euros in February 2011, recording an increase of 1.4%.

The total value of exports-dispatches, excluding oil products, for the 12-month time period of March 2011 – February 2012 increased by 6.5% compared to the corresponding 12-month time period of March 2010 – February 2011.

The total value of imports-arrivals in February 2012 amounted to 2924,4 million euros against 3759,6 million euros in February 2011. The total value of exports-dispatches in February 2012 amounted to 1864,6 million euros against 1478,7 million euros in February 2011.
