30th Greek Festival of Sydney is for Kids Too!

The 30th Greek Festival of Sydney proudly presents events for every person and age.

Adults can indulge themselves by watching a movie, by attending a concert, or by enjoying lyrical voices reciting poems in this year’s Greek Festival. But the Festival has just added something new – Children’s Day!

Young children will be obliged to visit the Nicholson Museum. When they do so, they will be ready to transform to an ancient Greek warrior. Not through imagination, but in a practical way.

Children, dressed up in typical ancient Greek war uniform, will participate in myth story-telling and drama performances. Genuine ancient Greek artifacts will by displayed so kids can travel back to ancient Greece.

Myths about ancient Gods, Goddesses and heroes, as well as a “trip” to Athens and Sparta will fascinate every child.

The Festival has also organized activities for kids aged between 5 and 12 for the entire day.

Meeting point is Friday the 13th at 10am at the University of Sydney (Nicholson Museum), and will go until 4pm. The entry is free of charge. For any further information, please contact at nicholson.museum@sydney.edu.au, or at the telephone number (02) 9351 2812.
