A Modern… Noah in Naypaktos

A modern Noah has created his own “ark” where he keeps eighty five different species of animals from all across the world in a small village outside Nafpaktos. The man, Konstantinos Theodoropoulos, has managed to collect beautiful, rare animals, such as buffalos, llamas, antelopes, and even a Bactrian camel in his village of Kseropigado.
As reported by the Greek newspaper Espresso, the farm has attracted many visitors of all ages that want to admire his acquisitions. In his statements to the local press, K.Theodoropoulos explained that his great love for animals combined with his need to produce his own manure for his organic crops brought him to the decision to create that “ark”.
“I started with goats and wild sheep in the mid nineties and went on to a greater variety of species”, reveals the modern Noah.
The breeding of so many different species is a really hard and time-consuming job that often demands sacrifices, the courageous farmer admits. Feeding, cleaning and caring for all the animals are pretty difficult tasks. However, when someone has such great love and readiness as Mr. Theodoropoulos, he can overcome even the biggest obstacles.
