Four male adults possessing extremely hideous child pornography material, in which babies were sexually molested by adults – even animals – were arrested by Greek police officers while five more suspects remain wanted in Athens and the rest of Greece.
As usual, they were persons above suspicion. A “respectable” doctor from Kastoria and the co-worker of a famous designer in Athens were two of the disseminators of the disgusting material.
During the police operation with the code name “EGMA”, nine house searches were conducted in Athens, Marousi, Piraeus, Moschato, Rafina, Patras and Kastoria, where the authorities tracked and confiscated hundreds of photographs and videos depicting child pornography.
The searches started after the Greek Police tracked 26 digital traces in Greece by users of the program “e DONKEY 2000”, through which they were disseminating harsh child pornography material.
“The confiscated material might be the most hideous and inhumane we’ve ever seen” remarked an officer of the Department of Cyber Crime Unit. 51 hard disks, two laptops and a total of 298,398 image and video files of child pornography were confiscated by the houses of the suspects.
The police officers have not stopped the investigations, as they are still searching for the people that provided the material to the defendants.
