1,000 Rare Decorative Eggs Exhibition Opens in Katerini

A rare exhibition of some 1,000 glass, metal and mud-made eggs from around the world, ornamented with different techniques, will be hosted at the building of the Holy Metropolis in the city of Katerini.
The event is organized within the celebrations of the 100th anniversary of the city’s liberation, and will be inaugurated on March 15, at 7.30pm.
The collection, which includes decorative eggs from different eras and parts of the world, belongs to Chariklia Andrika-Kardara, economics professor, who has been gathering the exhibits for 35 years.
The exhibition is co-organized by the Holy Metropolis of Citrus and Katerini, the Organization of Education, Sport and Welfare of the Municipality of Katerini and the Secondary Education of the Prefecture of Pieria, and will remain open to the public until Thursday, May 10.
