Athens Technopolis Celebrates International Women's Day 2012

On the occasion of the International Women’s Day 2012 on March 8, the Technopolis venue in Athens (Gazi) is organizing a celebratory exhibition for the modern woman entitled “Amarilis 2011”.
The exhibition will be hosted at the hall “Costis Palamas” and will display the works of 20 modern female and one male artist, all members of ‘artistic group Template Life’. The event aims at paying tribute to the struggles of ordinary contemporary women, who are excelling in their everyday lives with their courage and determination.
The exhibition has a non-profitable character and is organized under the auspices of the NGO “Doctors of the World”.
‘Template Life’ is an artistic group established back in 2008. It consists of different kinds of artists that have set as a common purpose the presentation of social issues. The group displays in its exhibitions its quests and questions, while it also promotes new joint projects and cooperation with similarly oriented artists.
Founder and leader of the group is Professor of Photography and photographer Christiana Petousaki from AKTO.
Revenues will be used to provide care to women in need through the NGO “Doctors of the World” in Greece.
