Cretan Cuisine Promoted Through Greek Tourism

The Chamber of Commerce of Iraklio in Crete invited all tourism representatives of Crete to attend an event for the promotion of Cretan Cuisine through Greek tourism.
The event was held on the 23rd of February at ‘Karouzou’ Hall, at the Chamber of Commerce of Iraklio. The event’s attendees included members of the Union of Hotel Owners of Iraklio, of the Chef’s Club of Crete and of the Pancretan Union of Hotel Directors.
The major purpose of the event was the promotion of Cretan products and their establishment in menus served to foreign tourists in Crete, as cretalive.gr. reports.
“Cretan products and their unique quality should be introduced to tourists”, the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce of Iraklio, Manolis Alifierakis, emphasized.
During the event the participants decided to organize a new meeting in order to define the actions needed for the establishment of Cretan products in the tourism sector.
