Magnitude 5.1 Earthquake Shakes Chalkidiki

A strong earthquake measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale was recorded in Chalkidiki, Northern Greece.
The earthquake struck at 03:34am and its epicenter was located in the undersea region west of the Athos peninsula, 110km east/southeast from the city of Thessaloniki.
According to information so far, no damages or injuries have been reported. Scientists commented that the quake was superficial, with a focal depth only reaching 24km.
