Former Greek PM Kostas Karamanlis to Attend 3rd Asian Leadership Conference

The Chosun Ilbo newspaper, which celebrates its 92nd birthday this year, and affiliate TV Chosun, which was launched late last year, will co-host the Third Asian Leadership Conference under the theme: “Capitalism 4.0: Searching for Post Crisis Solutions.” The forum will serve as an opportunity to search for new forms of capitalism at a time when changes are required, and offer a crucial chance to seek leadership to overcome the multiple crises facing our world today.

Global leaders who were responsible for developing socio-economic models for their countries will take part in the conference. They include former Swedish prime minister Göran Persson, who established Sweden’s social welfare model, Wim Kok, former Dutch prime minister responsible for the country’s economic boom based on cooperation between labor and management, former U.S. labor secretary and leading liberal economist Robert Reich, former Israeli prime minister Ehud Olmert, who contributed to fostering entrepreneurship in the country, and former Greek prime minister Kostas Karamanlis, who instigated reforms in Greece before it was hit by an economic crisis.

The entire conference will progress digitally, with all materials accessible online and procedures done using a tablet PC that will be provided to all participants.
