Adelaide’s Semaphore Greek Cultural Festival

The Semaphore Greek Cultural Festival will take place on Saturday the 14th through the 15th of January 2012. This year the festival celebrates 33 years of Greek community involvement and celebration at the Semaphore foreshore.

The Semaphore Greek Cultural Festival is held at the Semaphore foreshore every January over the course of two days. It is situated adjacent to the Semaphore jetty, in close proximity to the children’s playground and the foreshore amusements.

The festival celebrates Greek culture and heritage within South Australia’s multicultural context. It is the Greek community and family spirit that underpins the essence of the festival.

George Kapiniaris, the Greek-Australian television, stage actor and comedian, who has starred in Wogs out of Work, Acropolis Now and Il Dago, will be the guest MC for the festival all weekend.

Moreover, a live band will provide live Greek music from 4pm daily, with traditional Greek dancing by local dance groups on both days.

Admission to the festival is totally FREE!
