New Developments in 3rd Child Molestation Case Rocking Crete

Relatives of an underage girl, who has been allegedly attacked by a 62-year-old man on New Year’s Eve, have gathered Tuesday outside the Attorney General’s office in Iraklion and asked to drop the charges against the suspect in regard of his own grandchildren and the shame that will be brought upon them.
The 62-year-old man was brought to the Attorney General’s office after he had been accused by the parents of the 11-year-old girl of attempting to sexually harass their child during the New Year’s Eve party.
The suspect was arrested on early Monday and is a guest and distant relative of the young girl’s family. He claimed to the Police he had entered the girl’s room to see if she was tucked in bed. The girl started screaming and her parents rushed into the room and called the police.
This is the third alleged child molestation case rocking the island of Crete in a single month.
