“Comicus Erectus” in Adelaide and Melbourne

Four of the best local and international ethnic comedy superstars will appear for the first time together on stage in a new hilarious show “Comicus Erectus-The Ethnic Comedy Evolution”.

From the producers of the famous and successful show “Il Dago” and “Il Dago I”, Comicus Erectus is a comedy for the whole family.

The audience in Adelaide can watch the comedy show in Arkaba during the Adelaide Fringe Festival from February 24 to March 4, while the comedy show will travel to Melbourne for the International Comedy Festival from March 21 to April 15.

The powerful and outstanding cast of performers includes Greek-Australian George Kapiniaris, one of the most popular and recognized Australian TV personas (aka Memo from “Acropolis Now” TV series), the internationally acclaimed comedy superstar Joe Avati, the USA Emmy Award Nominee Greek born Basile, while the host of the show will be Turkish-Australian comedian Tahir, who is extremely popular to the young audiences because of his roles as ‘Habib’ in “Fat Pizza”, “Swift and Shift” and now “Housos”.

Each of the performers will take the stage and present different hilarious stories on how it feels being raised up in such a family as their own. Towards the end of the show, all four comedians unite and will bring a grand finale of laughter to the audience.

Although the show is extremely popular among the different ethnic minorities and those who enjoy “wog” humour, the diversity in the audiences of “Il Dago” shows that people can enjoy a show even if it comes from a different ethnic background, no matter what their age is.

“Comicus Erectus” is a full two hours show for everyone.
