A meeting was held between European Council president Herman Van Rompuy and Pasok leader George Papandreou in Brussels on Thursday afternoon.
During the meeting, Papandreou outlined the decisive work facing Prime Minister Lucas Papademos’ government.
Papandreou and Van Rompuy also discussed developments in the Eurozone and in the wider European economy, with Papandreou stressing the need bold measures at European level, beginning with the issue of eurobonds.
Later in the day, Papandreou travelled to the Northern German city of Kie to address the Federal Congress of German Greek Party.
