Tourism Businessmen in Thessaloniki are trying to encourage the gay community to visit their town, to have fun and contribute to the strengthening of the Greek economy.
The tourism organization of Thessaloniki in collaboration with the Greek company “Homo Evolution” organized a conference on ‘Gay Tourism and Entrepreneurship”.
The president of the tourism organization in Thessaloniki Nikos Sapountzis told Espresso, “This new trend for attracting homosexual tourists began when journalists and tourism agents from homosexual communities of Germany visited Thessaloniki”.
Sapountzis also stated that major purpose of the conference is a balance to be found among tourism businessmen on how to deal with this new trend and attract more gay tourists to Greece.
